I’m Dre Castillo, a videographer and editor based in South Florida. For ten years I’ve planned, shot and cut video for networks, brands, bands and businesses — on my own or with a crew, in English or Spanish.
What I make
Interviews and commercials for companies. Event coverage, from a 10,000-person conference to a Warped Tour set. Music videos and live sessions. Short-form content cut for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. Most jobs are a mix of these, and one shoot usually feeds several of them.
I delivered 38 segments that aired on PBS, CNBC and Fox. I traveled to each location, interviewed the guest while running camera and audio, and edited what I shot. That’s still how I like to work: one person from the set to the timeline, so the story doesn’t get lost in a handoff.

How a job runs
A call to pin down what the video is for and where it will live. A short plan: shot list, interview questions, locations and timing. The shoot, with footage backed up before I leave. Then the edit, with a rough cut you see before anything is polished, and your notes in before it’s final. You get files sized for every place they’re going.

Do you travel?
Yes. I’m based in South Florida and work across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Tampa and St. Petersburg. For the segments I shot for PBS, CNBC and Fox I worked in 17 U.S. states and the Virgin Islands, on runs from a weekend to a month.
Can you shoot and edit, or just one?
Either. Most of my work is one-to-one: I edit what I shot, which keeps the story consistent from the set to the timeline. I also take shooting-only and editing-only jobs.
Do you work in Spanish?
Yes. I interview and direct in English and Spanish.
How much does a video cost?
